We all need to have faith, but do we truly have faith is the one question we should ask ourselves. This one word has so much power, but I think we all fall short of realizing the power it holds.
Hello All! I want to welcome you to my blog Faith & Medicine!
It was placed on my heart to create a blog a while back, but I’ve continuously gone back and forward on whether or not I wanted to actually venture on this path and try to assimilate this blog. Recently, I decided I should just go ahead and take the leap because there are so many emotions and situations I endure everyday and I just want to take the time to share those moments with others, knowing it will shed light on how God can move in our lives. I want to be a beacon of light in the world and in the field of medicine to help others grow and realize that God holds ALL the power. He holds the power in our daily lives, in the doctors office, in the church, outside the US, no matter where you are and what you’re facing God has the power. Just having faith in God, the size of a mustard seed, will get us all through life’s journey.
I’m a current second year medical student on the mission to fulfill my destiny that God has planned for my life. During the past semester, my faith was tested so many times. I truly had to dig down deep and come to an understanding of what having faith meant in my life. I’ve always said I had faith and believed that God would work things out. However, it wasn’t until I took the time to understand and research what the Lord tells us in the bible about Faith. I’ve listed a few verses that stood out and allowed me to gain a true understanding. Now without a doubt, I can say through all I have encountered I have Faith in God and everything that he has planned for my life.
Faith is the epitome of how I stay strong on a daily basis to endure the trials, tribulations, joy, stress, and rewarding moments that are involved in life and in medicine. Faith gives me a peace about life that allows me to wake up every morning excited for the day because I know God has things planned for my life. I’m living life every day with a greater expectation and greater faith than the day before because I know God has everything covered.
Seven months ago, I would have never imagined myself being at this point in my life itching to share the wonderful blessings God can do in our lives when you have faith. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” – Jeremiah 29:11. This passage from the bible speaks so much life into all of us. Take a moment and just meditate on the words. Think about it God has a plan for each of our lives. Those words alone are exciting and just think when we have true faith in God we can live life at peace knowing God has already worked everything out in order for us to fulfill our individual plans.
I have set out on a mission to fulfill the calling God has placed on my life. He has had a plan for me since I was created in my mother’s womb and I’m going to do whatever is needed to accomplish my destiny and my true calling. He sacrificed his life for me, so that I can be free. He deserves my best and he deserves my ALL. In order, for it all to come into fruition I must have faith and know that God, the head of my life, is who keeps me everyday.
I invite each of you to walk with me on my journey in life as I grow and walk with the Lord. I pray that the posts I share touch you in a special way and they allow the Lord to show you greater dimensions in life so you can also grow in your walk with the Lord and we can all fulfill our God-given purpose.
With Love!
Verses about Faith
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” – James 1:2-4
