Often times in life we get so busy that we stray away from our walk with the Lord. We don’t intentionally turn from God, but we get caught up with other things that our time with him is cut short. As a med student, I know in my busy life this happens sometimes. I get so consumed by school work that I quickly say, “I’ll do it later.”
Whether it is doing my devotion, journaling, or just spending quiet time with the Lord. When days like this happen, I’m so thankful God doesn’t turn away from us and no matter the situation he is always present.
In my prayer time, I was reminded by the Lord that we as Christians have to continously and consciously make an effort to keep our time with God. Build the habit and always make our individual walk with God a top priority. Think about it, what would life be like if God told us that he was to busy to be present with us each day, and that we needed to get in line and wait. Thinking about that alone is kind of scary, not having the Lord present in my life is something I never want to experience.
While thinking about that, we also have to begin to ask ourselves… “Am I being proactive? Am I continously trying to build my relationship with God?” I know life can get busy some days, things become so time consuming, and stress just begins to creep in from every direction. Wherever each of us may be in our lives we have to continue to always make an effort to keep our time with God, draw closer to him, and make our relationship with God a top priority.
From this moment on, I pray that we continously make an effort to keep the Lord as a priority. I pray that he guides us as we journey through life each day. I pray the Lord gives you strength and endurance and that we continue to have faith in him through everything.
Always remember the Lord wants to be the TOP PRIORITY in our lives we just have to be proactive and seek him.
Much Love & Blessings!
